Research profile

After his dissertation on the theory of language and interpretation, Prof. Pfeiffer worked on the history of the 19th century English novel, the relations between literature and science, the history and cultural status of theory, and an interculturally oriented anthropology of media. He has published five monographs in these fields, edited and co-edited ten books and written about 100 articles on a wide range of topics in the humanities. Recent and current research projects focus upon intercultural relations of both theory and media.
